Salone Diary: Andrew Yang, Day 2

The Americans set up shop in Milan with the opening of BDDW’s new showroom

There are so many exhibition openings each night in Milan, but this opening was a bit special. On the second night of Salone del Mobile, the American furniture maker BDDW opened the doors of their new Milan showroom for the very first time.

The company took the step of choosing Milan to open their second showroom worldwide, after their New York space. Located at via Santa Maria 19 near Duomo, the BDDW showroom showcased the company’s furniture, but is also used as a real home for American design, as it displayed the work of fellow American designers, including Lindsey Adelman, David Weeks and Apparatus, among others.

A former design journalist, Andrew Yang is a partner and sales director of New York-based lighting company Roll & Hill. Andrew will be giving daily insights into goings on in and around the Salone del Mobile throughout the week. Read more Salone-Diary--Andrew-Yang,-Day-2
