London Design Festival Diary: The Wrong Shop

Loop 02, by Erwan Bouroullec at The Wrong Shop

Day two of our daily coverage of London Design Festival 2012 features the work of the Bouroullec brothers and Pierre Charpin at The Wrong Shop

This collection of  rough sketches and drawings by the French design brothers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, and Pierre Charpin, demonstrate most vividly the power of the first creative phase when designing a new project. We cannot know which will be the final product, but we can recognized the feeling of this tangled mix of brilliant ideas. The drawings, with the vibrant colours and intersecting lines create shapes that work between being two and three dimensional. The originals are on display at the Vitra Design Museum, and Centre Pompidou of Metz. This is the first time that Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, well known for projects such as Vegetal chair, and Pierre Charpin have created a series of prints produced by The Wrong Shop.

The exhibition is housed at the Twentytwentyone showroom, 18c River Street between 19 and 23rd September
