- Port writer Eleonora highlights key architecture and design features from 2012, including our Rothschild HQ shoot, interview with Sebastian Wrong and coverage of the Venice Takeaway and London Design Festivals
The Rothchilds’ new look London HQ is a reminder of the pivotal role the banking family has played in European history – as well as a nod to its future. Shortlisted for this year’s RIBA Stirling Prize, the piece written by Rory Olcayato – deputy editor of the Architecture Journal – is illustrated by an exclusive shoots by Christian Kain. The design section of issue 7 was guest-edited by the director of the Design Museum Deyan Sudjic, and was our most ambitious design-section to date.
