The Know-How: I’m Sorry, I Haven’t a Screw

If ever you find yourself without the necessary utensil to uncork your bottle of wine, follow this useful guide.
All you’ll need is a sturdy shoe and a solid surface, such as a wall.

1. Take a shoe and said bottle. We recommend a brogue and a Château Haut-Brion 2. Remembering to remove the capsule from the neck, place the bottle in the heel of shoe 3. Holding the bottle at the neck, hit the sole of the shoe against the solid surface 4. You will begin to notice the cork gently easing out. Remove the cork by hand and enjoy your wine
